Lund seeks an experienced Infant and Early Childhood Family Mental Health (IECFMH) Consultant to support workforce competency development for our clinical and non-clinical staff. This consultant will play a vital role in enhancing our team’s ability to provide trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate mental health support to families and caregivers of young children 0 - 8 years of age. By equipping staff with practical tools and mental health training, this role will aim to increase staff competency and reduce feelings of burnout, while fostering a culture of reflective practice and ongoing skill development.

The IECFMH Consultant will provide support to identified staff in the following program:This consultant role is supported by a fixed grant period through the end of 2025. More detailed services and programming, as outlined in the grant proposal, will be shared during the hiring process, but some key areas of support include:
  • Provide mental health training and psychoeducation to supervisors and staff to build skills for early identification, intervention, and treatment of mental health needs
  • Offer targeted consultation and guidance to non-clinical staff to strengthen mental health interventions
  • Create surveys and assessments to assess key performance measures and metrics
  • Facilitate Reflective Supervision training for supervisors, enabling them to support staff in building and sustaining mental health competencies
  • Develop and deliver training on trauma-responsive parenting and interventions to address mental health needs, including for children with developmental delays
  • Create safe spaces for staff to process emotional challenges and explore strategies for effective mental health support
  • Collaborate with leadership and program teams to ensure the sustainability of IECFMH skill development and supervision practices beyond the consultation period
  • Support the identification and implementation of early intervention strategies for mental health needs in children and families
What You Will Bring
  • Licensure is not required but is preferred
  • Has engaged in ongoing professional development specific to current infant, Early Childhood, and Family Mental Health evidence-based strategies and best practices
  • Relevant experience in Reflective Supervision
  • Working knowledge of Vermont's Early Childhood system of care
Specific areas of support, goals, timelines, deliverables, and compensation will be discussed during the hiring process. Depending on the program and staff needs, the consultant will provide support on-site and remotely and with an anticipation of approximately 36 hours per month.
